A MESSAGE FROM TAYLOR

As a parent you may notice your child is anxious, frustrated or having emotional outbursts. It can be difficult and overwhelming when your child is feeling this way and you may be unsure how to help them through these big emotions.

These challenges can often result in frequent phone calls from school, with teachers reporting behavioral issues and difficulty focusing in class. Peer interactions can also be problematic, with conflicts arising over sharing and taking turns.

And at home, the child may struggle with completing homework or chores, become easily distracted, or experience emotional outbursts due to frustration with their challenges.

And, as a parent, you just feel lost on how to help your child.

I’m Taylor Simerly, a child therapist at Kid Matters Counseling and I believe together we can explore the best way to support your child towards growth and positive change.

I have worked with hundreds of families to help them learn how to cope with the stress of anxiety, school concerns, adoption, trauma, and divorce.

Utilizing a strengths based approach, I can help your child explore positive tools so they feel empowered and supported every step of the way. I want all parents to know this: you are not alone. Together, we can create a plan to help your child reach their fullest potential.

Here’s how to get started with our child counseling services:

First, click on the “Schedule Appointment” button and fill out the new client appointment form.

Second, someone from our intake team will reach out to schedule the first appointment.

Third, we’ll develop a plan that will best address the struggles your child is facing and how to support you, the caregiver.

At Kid Matters Counseling, we create a safe and welcoming environment for both children and families to learn and grow with our support. Schedule an appointment today so we can get started, I look forward to working with you and your family!
