A MESSAGE FROM LIZ
As a parent, you’ve undoubtedly invested countless hours seeking to understand and find the right support to help your child navigate the challenges of anxiety, peer relationships, school concerns, or difficult life transitions.
This emotional journey can leave you feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how best to guide your child towards a life filled with joy and fulfillment.
I’m Liz Blaha, a Child and Adolescent Therapist at Kid Matters Counseling, and I’m here to guide your child on a journey of self-discovery, helping them to face and understand their emotions. Together, we’ll explore and develop coping skills that really work for them, turning overwhelming feelings into something they can manage.
This journey isn’t just about coping, though; it’s about growing. As your child learns to express themselves more clearly and authentically, you’ll see a beautiful change. They’ll start to communicate more openly, connect more deeply with those around them, and share their inner world with newfound clarity and honesty.
My role, as your child’s counselor, is also to collaborate with you, the parent, in guiding your child towards emotional well-being and growth. Your insights as a parent are invaluable, and together, we can create a supportive environment that allows your child to thrive. This approach ensures that the progress made in therapy extends into your home, providing consistency and reinforcement of positive behaviors and coping strategies.
