A MESSAGE FROM FERNANDO

If you’ve experienced the daily hardships of parenting, you’re not alone. Raising a child comes with many obstacles, including soothing your fussy toddler, calming your anxious child, or maintaining a positive relationship with your preteen. Some days feel like a stroll in the park, and others (pause) like you’re drowning in a sea of doubt, shame, and fear.

My career has focused on supporting families of children who experience anger, anxiety, and traumatic events or are exploring their sexual and/or gender identity.

Children don’t always have the words to express what they’re going through. Instead they may show us by becoming aggressive, losing interest in activities they once loved, struggling in their school setting, developing sexualized behavior, or isolating. It can be frustrating not knowing what to do in these moments, and sometimes understanding your child can seem like learning a new language.

I help translate your child’s experience, guiding you in building a stronger connection with your child as they begin to identify, express, and regulate challenging feelings and experiences. We will identify and implement parenting strategies that will leave you feeling confident as you experience the joy of meeting your child’s needs.

Give me a call, and let’s get started.

“My son had a really hard time opening up but after being with Fernando he went back to being my silly and playful boy. Fernando not only took the time to build a relationship with my son but he took the time to build a relationship with me and help me feel supported in a time where I felt alone and overwhelmed”
