A MESSAGE FROM LIZZIE

Parents want what’s best for their children, especially during their most important stages of development. However, parenting can be a difficult job, especially when a child experiences anxiety, misbehaves at school, or has trouble sleeping at night. All of these issues can cause stress and frustration for both the parent and the child.

At Kid Matters Counseling, we understand how overwhelming these challenges can be. I’m Lizzie Doppler, and as a child therapist, I specialize in working with children to help them identify their strengths and build upon them to overcome challenges.

By taking a strength-based approach, I empower children to work through their big emotions in a positive way. This approach not only helps children develop a positive self-image, but it also leads to amazing results in their behavior at school, home, and with friends.

As a parent, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed when your child is struggling. However, it’s important to remember that you’re not alone. With our support, we can help you stop the cycle of meltdowns, receiving unwanted calls from school, or feeling helpless to support your child.

We offer a safe and judgment-free space for children to work through their emotions, and we’re here to help you every step of the way. Schedule an appointment today and I look forward to working with your family.

“My daughter was having such a hard time with all of the changes happening at home. She began to get physically aggressive and had meltdowns that were uncontrollable. Lizzie was able to connect with my daughter and helped her to not only understand her feelings better but she was able to communicate them in a healthy way.”
